Top Class Tuition Scheme for SC Students is one of the national scholarship programs that provides full financial support to SC students in order to encourage quality education among them. These scholarship programs awards a total of 1,500 scholarships per year. The scholarship application is submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Eligibility: Candidates who wish to apply must be from a Scheduled Caste and have enrolled in a full-time degree programme after completing class 12 at a notified school. In addition, the applicant’s annual family income from all sources cannot exceed INR 6 lakh.

Award: Those selected students studying in private sector institutions are entitled to full tuition fee and non-refundable charges with a maximum ceiling of up to INR 2 Lakh per annum, Although all who are admitted to flying clubs in the private sector as well as to training in commercial and type pilot training have the right to tuition fees and other charges not reimbursed at maximum INR 2 lakh/yr, Aside from that, students receive INR 2,220 a month for living costs, INR 3,000 per year for books and stationery, and one-time assistance of up to INR 45,000 for the new computer/laptop and other associated accessories.

Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities

The Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities is a government scholarship that provides financial aid to disadvantaged students from minority groups in the form of entry fees, tuition fees, and maintenance allowance. Indian minorities include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians/Parsis. Applicants interested in applying for this scholarship can do so via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Eligibility: Students from classes 1 to 10 who received at least 50% in the previous final exam; annual family income of less than INR 1 lakh; and must be from a minority race.

Award: Candidates selected in classes 6 to 10 pay INR 500 per annum as well as INR 350 per month. In addition, students in classes 1 to 10 (day scholars) receive a monthly maintenance allowance of INR 100, while students in classes 6 to 10 (hostellers) receive INR 600 per month over a total of INR 10 months in an academic year.

Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities

The Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities was developed with the aim of offering financial assistance to disadvantaged students from minority groups. It is intended for students from class 11 to PhD. Candidates who are participating in this national scholarship will apply online via NSP.

Eligibility: Students in class 11-12, graduation, post-graduation, academic or vocational classes, M.Phil., PhD with at least 50% in the previous final exam; annual family income must not surpass INR 2 lakh; must be from a minority group

 Award: Picked students in class 11 and 12 (hostellers and day scholars) receive entry and a tuition fee of INR 7,000 per year, or INR 10,000 per year if they are taking academic or vocational courses in class 11 and 12. Admission and tuition fees for UG and PG students are INR 3,000 a year. In addition, students earn a monthly repair payment of up to INR 1,200 over a total of 10 months during the academic year.

How to Apply?

Students applying for their first scholarship (New Students) must “Register” on the site as a fresh applicant, submitting correct and validated information as printed on their records in the “Student Registration Form.”

The application process must be completed by the parents or guardians of students who are under the age of 18 on the day of registration.

Until beginning the registration process, students/parents/guardians should have the following documents on hand:

1. Students educational records.

2. The student’s bank account number and the bank branch’s IFSC code.

Note: In the case of the pre-matric scholarship program, where students do not have their own bank account, parents should have their own account details. However, parents’ account numbers can only be used by a limit of two children when applying for scholarships.

3. The student’s Aadhaar number.

4. If Aadhaar is not valid, a bonafide student certificate from the Institute / School must be presented.

5. Aadhaar Enrollment ID or a scanned copy of your bank passbook.

6. If the Institute/School is not in the applicant’s home state, a bonafide student credential from the Institute/School is needed.
