Pictorial representation of a function, domain, co-domain and range of a function. Real valued functions, domain and range of these functions, constant, identity, polynomial, rational, modulus, signum, exponential, logarithmic and greatest integer functions, with their graphs. Sum, difference, product and quotients of functions.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b> Trigonometric Functions (20 Periods)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Positive and negative angles. Measuring angles in radians and in degrees and conversion from one measure to another. Definition of trigonometric functions with the help of unit circle. Truth of the identity sin2x + cos2x = 1, for all x. Signs of trigonometric functions. Domain and range of trigonometric functions and their graphs. Expressing sin (x\u00b1y) and cos (x\u00b1y) in terms of sinx, siny, cosx &amp; cosy and their simple applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Class 11 Maths Syllabus 2023: Unit 2<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Unit 2: Algebra<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><b> Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations<\/b> <b>(10 Periods):<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Need for complex numbers, especially\u221a\u22121, to be motivated by inability to solve some of the quadratic equations. Factorial n. (n!) Permutations and combinations, derivation of Formulae for nPr and nCr and their connections, simple applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b> Binomial Theorem<\/b> <b>(10 Periods):<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Historical perspective, statement and proof of the binomial theorem for positive integral indices. Pascal\u2019s triangle, simple applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b> Sequence and Series<\/b> <b>(10 Periods):<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sequence and Series. Arithmetic Mean (A.M.) Coordinates of a point. Distance between two points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Class 11 Maths Syllabus 2023: Unit 4<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Unit 4: Calculus<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Limits and Derivatives (40 Periods):<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Derivative introduced as rate of change both as that of distance function and geometrically. Intuitive idea of limit. Limits of polynomials and rational functions trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions. Definition of derivative relates it to scope of tangent of the curve, derivative of sum, difference, product and quotient of functions.
